Tonight in Euroleague game in Athens the Greek champs welcome the German champs. Sounds promising and equal match? Not really home site is defending Euroleague champion Panathinaikos and visitors from Germany is EWE Baskets Oldenburg; they are almost blank place in European basketball map.
Both teams will have new looks for this clash as the Greens welcome back a pair of veteran big men from injuries, Mike Batiste and Kostas Tsartsaris, while Oldenburg debuts recently signed point guard Bryan Bailey. With its big guns back, Panathinaikos will try to remain atop the group as it reaches the midway point of the regular season.
Pao is huge favorite for this game and by their style of playing matches I see that they will start with super aggressive defense and secure shoot to build advantage from very beginning. So my bet for today is 1 quarter handicap -5, 5.
Pao is playing great 1 quarters of their games – even in their only lost match this season against Real in Madrid Greek site have won first quarter by nearly 10 points.
Last weekend Pao played home game against Marousi at home won 90-73. The home site started strong were leading by 12 after first quarter and today’s game against Oldenburg I see like replay of that match.
