Valladolid vs. Mallorca

Valladolid sits eighteenth at just one point from the team sitting in front of them Zaragoza. They are currently eight matches without a victory. They had a new manager since three matches ago and it looks like it is having a positive effect despite their disappointing results since then. They played two weeks ago against Zaragoza at home and they dominated that match but ended up drawing when they surely deserved to win it. But what most impressed me was their last match against Osasuna away where they played very well and could have easily won the match if it wasn’t because of all the misses they’ve had. At the end they managed to draw the match getting a very valuable point out of Reino de Navarra. Finally I think that this is the best moment to get a victory and snatch three points.

Mallorca was the perfect home team until Sevilla finally came in and stopped their incredible string of home results. But in contrast to their great home form, their away form is just awful and comparable to any of the bottom teams with only one victory out of twelve away matches. Manager Manzano will look to change a few players from his usual line-up to see anything of this can be changed but the truth is that Mallorca away version is nothing like Mallorca home version and they will have to raise many levels in their performance away to get good results.

Valladolid is in desperate need of a victory after eight matches in a row without one while Mallorca needs the three points to maintain their position in European spots. It would be very surprising if Mallorca gets anything out of this. Valladolid in front of home fans against a weak away team should get the victory.
