I watched Monday night clash Bielefeld vs Karlsruher SC live and I gotta say I seldom saw a team that disappointed me so much with their ambitions, playing ablilities and knowing about financial situation of their club like Bielefeld. You play on your home pitch against - let's name it - relegation material. You can grab 4th place and keep contact to promotion places. And what do you do??? The poor answer is nothing and if there would be a word expressing less than nothing than it would be this word. It simply was obvious - Bielefeld players wanted to get rid of their coach and they did it successfully - without thinking of promotion and what future of their club means. I don't want to loose more words about this lousy behaviour - it's only to tell you how much worth victory of Karlsruhe was. They played simply against a team that wanted their coach to be sacked - and that's it.
Augsburg on the other hand plays a surprising season being just 4 points behind league leader Kaiserslautern and 4 points ahead of 3rd placed St. Pauli. They come of a 9-1-0 streak, eliminiating Cologne in this time from cup with 2-0 win and keeping a cleen sheet in their last 6 matches. They'll miss defender Moehrle for this one, but one of most creative midfielders on Karlsruhe's side - Engelhardt - will miss sitting out his 5th yellow card - I think that equals somehow.
Karlsruhe will fight against relegation till the end whereas Augsburg is a serious team for promotion into Bundesliga, having the best attack with 51 scored in 25 league matches and top goal scorer of the league with Thurk netting already 20 times for his team.
Anything but away win would surprise me - but in case of a sensational draw we still have cashback.
